About Us

The Association was established in 1993 as a non-profit organisation, primarily to represent the interests of breeders of purebred Finnsheep.

The Association promotes the breed, and focuses on the relevance of both purebred Finnsheep and Finnsheep composites in the Australian Sheep Flock.

Anyone with an interest in Finns is encouraged to join the Association and contribute to the future of the breed.

Both the Annual General Meeting, which is held in June/July, and Council meetings are open to all members.

The Association encourages all members to participate in field days and meetings and welcomes suggestions on how to best promote the Finn to the Australian sheep farmer, butcher and consumer.

These rare breed sheep are for limited sale. The Association also holds various lines of Finnsheep semen, which, depending on protocols can be exported around the world, or locally.
Please contact the Secretary Jorjia Robinson on 0427 954 146 for more information.
